Goodbye Natashaparisblog

I started Natashaparisblog almost 5 years ago, back in May 2014. I’d always enjoyed reading blogs so I decided to take the plunge and start my own.

A lot has changed since I started blogging, and over the past year I’ve found myself falling out of love with blogging. As you might have guessed by the infrequent blog posts, these days I prefer to spend my spare time going out & doing things, catching up with my family/friends, baking and occasionally binge watching Netflix.

I’m not quite ready to archive my blog and erase all the effort I’ve put into it over the years just yet, but in the next month or so my blog address will no longer be a ‘.co.uk’ and will revert back to natashaparisblog.blogspot.com.

I’d like to end this post by saying a very big thank you to everyone who has read my blog over the years :)

I’ll still be using Twitter, Instagram & Pinterest. So do feel free to follow me there.

House update/Old English Company homeware review

The last few months have flown by (hence the lack of blog posts). Since my last post we’ve been busy decorating, unpacking and making way too many trips to IKEA/Homesense/Next in search of lovely homeware in the mission to make our house a home.

I’m very pleased with how the house is coming together (it seems all those pre-homeowner months of trawling through Pinterest for inspiration paid off). If you fancy having a nosey I’ve shared a few snippets of the house/homeware over on my Instagram.

Speaking of homeware the lovely people at Old English Company kindly got in touch and asked if I would be interested in picking out some of their products to try. After stumbling across lots of lovely things on their website, I of course said yes.

The first items I picked out were the everything in pyjamas enamel mug* and the go get ‘em tiger enamel mug, which will be used on walks, picnics and for drinking tea in the garden now the weather is finally starting to get warmer. In our house we get through tea towels like there's no tommorow (due to my boyfriends love of cooking and my constant tidying) so I also picked out a herbs and spices tea towel*

The final couple of items were picked out by my boyfriend. The first item that he picked out was the butcher cuts pig board*, which we've used for serving our Sunday roast but would also be good to use for serving tapas or cheeses. He also picked out the matching butcher cuts tea towel*, like I said we can never have enough tea towels!

I'm very impressed with the quality of all the products that I picked out, both the enamel mugs and the board have handwashed really well (with no sign of the print coming off anytime soon). The tea towels are functional and look great hanging in the kitchen, I'd definitely recommend.

Thank you for reading,

Life: We bought a house!

I’ve been away from the blogging world for a short while, and for a very good reason... earlier this month me and my boyfriend moved into our first home together!

New home
After months & months of saving up our deposit, viewing the house, putting in an offer and waiting for our offer to be accepted came months of waiting for solicitors to negotiate terms, paperwork & ageee a completion date.

I’ve always heard people talk about how stressful buying a house can be, but I truly underestimated JUST how stressful it would be. I was a bit of a nightmare during the last couple of months, so I want to say a big thank you to my family & boyfriend for putting up with me.

Now we’re a couple of weeks into life in our new home together, living amongst a sea of boxes still to be unpacked but I couldn’t be happier.

Until next time.
Thank you for reading,

Review: The Ordinary Colours Coverage Foundation

I’ve been wanting to try one of The Ordinary foundations ever since I started seeing/reading many a positive review, but I still had plenty of my tried & tested MAC Studio Fix Fluid left. As this recently started to run low it seemed like the perfect time to (finally) give The Ordinary Colours Coverage Foundation a go.
The Ordinary Colours Coverage Foundation
The foundation comes in a sturdy plastic bottle, complete with pump! Whilst the bottle appears to be on the small side, it does contain a full 30ml of product.

When it came to choosing a shade I had to make a decision using the virtual swatches, as I purchased online. After much deliberation I finally decided to purchase Shade 1.2 N, which has turned out to be a really good match for my Autumn/Winter skin tone, although I might need to go a shade darker for Summer.
