Beauty: June Favourites

Can you believe we're now over halfway through the year?! I know it's very cliche but I couldn't stop myself from typing that haha. I've been trying out a few new beauty products lately so I have some new favourites to share with you.
June Beauty Favourites
I purchased the Barry M Get Up and Glow Palette back in May and I've been using it on an (almost) daily basis to create a natural make-up look. You can find my full review of this product here if you wish.

After seeing so much hype about the L'Oreal Nude Magique Cushion Foundation it was only a matter of time before I had to give it a go for myself. I purchased this foundation online and after a little bit of research I settled on the shade 'Rose Beige' which luckily has turned out to be the perfect match for my skin tone. It's still early days but so far I've found this foundation works really well for me when I'm after a natural 'no make-up' make-up type look.

Beauty: April Favourites

Hi lovelies, I hope you're all well? It's been a while since I shared a monthly beauty favourites post on my blog, so this post is a little bit overdue.
April beauty favourites
Despite washing my hair regularly my roots can still become oily very quickly, whilst the ends of my hair can be left feeling a little bit dry (despite having had my haircut very recently). A couple of times a week I've been using L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Re-Balancing Shampoo which has been helping to restore some balance, leaving my hair feeling lightweight and cleaner for longer. I'd like to try and purchase the L'Oreal Elvive Extraordinary Clay Masque at some point to use alongside this product to see if I get an even better result.

When it comes to nail polish Barry M is my go-to brand for good quality at affordable prices. I recently purchased Barry M's Coconut Infusion Nail Paint in the shade 'Flamingo' - a lovely Spring/Summer shade which has an added blend of coconut water and coconut oil to help to hydrate and care for the nails whilst delivering a glossy, smooth finish.

February Favourites

Hi lovelies, I hope you're all well? As we're nearly at the end of the month I thought it would be the perfect time to show you some of the products I've been loving using throughout February.
February Favourites
My parents bought me a Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish set for Christmas and I finally started using it this month (I had some other products to use up first). Liz Earle Cleanse & Polish is a product which has a lot of hype surrounding it and so far I'm not disappointed, it removes my make-up effectively and leaves my skin feeling soft too. I just need to stop being lazy and use this product more often (*hides the make up wipes*).

January Favourites

Hi lovelies, I hope you're all well?

It's been a few months since I last did a monthly favourites post, mainly because I'd been sticking to using the same products. However, I did mix my beauty routine up a little bit in January as I tried some new beauty products and also made some welcome rediscoveries.

I've noticed that as the weather has got colder my skin has become much drier than usual. To try and combat the effects of the Winter weather I've been attempting to get myself a proper exfoliating and moisturising routine going. As well as using a daily moisturiser I've also been using Origins Drink Up Intensive Overnight Face Mask a couple of times a week to give my skin some much needed hydration.

I'm not really a regular user of false tan (especially not in the Winter time) however I've really been enjoying using Cocoa Brown Gentle Bronze, a gradual tanner which I have been using to both hydrate my skin and to give me a little bit more of a subtle sun kissed glow.

April Favourites

Hi lovelies, it's monthly favourites time again so here are the products that I loved throughout April.

April favourites

First up is MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in 'Soft and Gentle' which actually featured in my last monthly favourites post too. I only purchased this a couple of months a go but it's become a staple in my make-up routine. It's a very pretty shade that I sweep across my cheekbones (alongside my bronzer) to give my make-up a bit of 'pizazz'.

January Favourites

Happy February lovelies. I was in two minds whether to do a January favourites post as most of the products I have been using throughout the month featured in my December favourites post (you can read that here) but there are a few exceptions:
January favourites
I was lucky enough to receive the Benefit Cheeky Sweet Spot Box giftset for Christmas, it contains sample sizes of some of Benefit's most popular boxes of powder - Dandelion,Bella Bamba,Sugarbomb,Coralista,Rockateur and Hoola. I've been using this set on a daily basis and I'm currently loving the Coralista and Sugarbomb blushes.

As I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping lately I decided to try the this works Deep Sleep Pillow Spray (I purchased a trial size as part of a giftset in the Feel Unique sale) . I don't use this every night, but when I do I seem to have a much better nights sleep.

The next product is is no way glamorous but for me it is an essential. The Wilkinson Sword Intuition Naturals Razor is a handy little tool to have - it's a razor which is surrounded by soap which lathers up,moisturises and makes shaving my legs much less hassle.

Another product which is more of an essential than a luxury is toothpaste. I've recently discovered the Beverly Hills Formula Perfect White Black Toothpaste and it's pretty impressive. I won't say too much though as I may do a full review on it soon.

Another product I received for Christmas was the Makeup Revolution Romantic Smoked Eyeshadow Pallete, which has become part of my January everyday make-up routine. I've been applying a single colour all over my eyelids using the Real Techniques Essential Crease Brush. I have been using the shimmery shades more than the matte shades but that's purely down to my personal preference.

December Favourites

Happy January lovelies.
It's a little bit later than usual but it's monthly favourites time again. Here's a rundown of the products I was loving throughout December:

December favourites

Possibly one of my favourite product discoveries over the last few months has been Dotz Acne Patches, I first heard about them through Twitter from the lovely Lottie from lottie-xo. They are transparent dots which you apply over any pesky spots and they work to reduce their size and help them clear up much quicker. They have definitely become an essential product within my skincare routine.

The blusher that I was wearing throughout throughout the month was Makeup Revolution Baked Blush in 'All That I Think' which is perfect for providing a subtle pop of colour and highlight to the cheeks.

There's quite a few lip products in my favourites this month, the first of which is the Benefit Benebalm which I was been wearing constantly since receiving it for my Birthday back in November. It's very hydrating and provides just the right amount of colour for a 'no make-up' make-up day.

I've been using LUSH Mint Julips Lip Scrub throughout the Winter months to help keep dry chapped lips at bay. If you want to know more about this product I have already done a full review on it which you can find by clicking here.

I've recently discovered my new favourite lip combination - Makeup Revolution Salvation Lip Lacquer in 'Keep Trying For You' as a base colour with Tanya Burr Cosmetics Lipgloss in 'Mistletoe Kisses' over the top. The two products complement each other very well and create a stunning festive red lip.

December was the month that I rediscovered my love for the Urban Decay Naked Palette - specifically the shade 'Half Baked' which is a gorgeous shimmery gold colour, perfect for wearing throughout the festive season.

September 2014 favourites

September 2014 favourites
MUA lipstick in 'shade 1' -  I'm trying to be a little bit braver with my lipstick choices and I've been trying out a number of darker coloured lipsticks. This has been my favourite of the bunch. I'd describe the colour as a 'red wine' kinda shade - making it perfect for this time of year.

The Body Shop Coconut Beautifying Oil - I have been primarily been using this product as a body oil - it leaves skin feeling soft and hydrated. The oil can also be used on the face and the hair. Coconut is my all time favourite smell so to me this smells amazing
