Beauty: My Current Favourite Nail Shades

Now the Sun's finally made an appearance I feel like I should make an attempt to embrace Spring/Summer nail shades. I tend to struggle with choosing Spring/Summer shades as I'm not really a pastel kinda girl but I have found a couple of nail shades that I love so I thought I'd share them with you.

L-R: Barry M Speedy Dry in 'Pit Stop'// Barry M Gelly Hi Shine in 'Almond'// Barry M Sunset in 'Do It Like A Nude'// Barry M Speedy Dry in 'In A Heart Beat'// Barry M Sunset in 'Peach For The Stars' (yep I nearly wrote 'Reach' instead of peach & now have the song stuck in my head..argh!)// Rimmel 60 Seconds Rita Ora in 'Glaston-Berry'// Tanya Burr Cosmetics in 'Mischief Managed'

What are your current favourite nail shades?

Beauty:Empties #2

I'll openly admit that I'm quite a nosey person so I always enjoy reading 'empties' posts. I've found that I quite enjoy writing them too. Here's a peek at the products I've used up recently,my opinions and whether I'd repurchase them.

COLAB Dry Shampoo 'London' - I think this was my second or third can of COLAB Dry Shampoo so it really should have featured in an empties post by now. I love the scent of this dry shampoo and it does a good job of refreshing my hair between washes without leaving any tell-tale chalky residue. I have already done a full review of this dry shampoo which you can find here. I have already repurchased this product.

Beauty: My MAC Lipstick Collection

MAC are definitely my favourite brand when it comes to lipstick and over the past couple of years (mainly since starting my blog) I've accumulated a little MAC lipstick collection.

I tend to choose my lipsticks based on the shades I like rather than the finish, although of course I have my favourite finishes (they're Amplified and Frost just in case you were wondering).

My favourite MAC shades at the moment are Vegas Volt and Costa Chic (yes I'm embracing the little bit of sunshine we have lately haha).

Review: Barry M Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paint

A couple of weeks ago Barry M released a new line to their extensive range of nail polishes - the Sunset Daylight Curing Nail Paints. These nail paints are designed to give the effect of gel nails with much less fuss.

The Barry M Sunset Nail Paints apply just like a regular nail polish, but the clever part comes into play when you apply the Sunset Top Coat. Once the top coat has been applied the polish bonds together to create a gel like effect. Unlike most gel nail polishes, there's no need to use a UV lamp with these as they use natural daylight. I can be quite impatient when it comes to letting nail polish dry so I've been seriously impressed with the Barry M Sunset Nail Paints as they seem to dry pretty quickly.

A Little London Haul

Last Friday I travelled down to London for the day. Although shopping wasn't the main purpose of my trip I may have made a couple of purchases:
First I decided to brave Oxford Street Primark where I bought a couple of slogan tees - 'Just A Plain White Tee',£4.00 and a Mean Girls 'On Wednesdays We Wear Pink' Tee,£6.00. I didn't go too crazy in there as it is far far too busy so I just wanted to get out as soon as I could.

My favourite purchase of the day was my Happy Jackson Travel Document Wallet,£18,00. I could have spent a small fortune on the Happy Jackson items in Selfridges, there was so many lovely things. However I decided to be sensible and only but the Travel Document Wallet - which has labelled sections for essentials such as my passport, tickets and travel money. I think will come in very handy for travelling if I am lucky enough to get a placement at a US Summer Camp (fingers crossed everyone).

Review: Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette

I picked up the Collection Little Mix All About The Eyes Palette up on a whim during a recent trip to Boots.

This palette was an absolute bargain! It costs just £3.19 and contains six shades which can be used simply to create a pretty, natural look or built up to create a more sultry, smokey eye look.

March Favourites

I know it's very cliché but I can't believe how quickly this year is going. As we're now in April it's time to share a couple of items that made it into my March favourites:

My March make-up routine didn't really vary much from the norm, however I did treat myself to MAC Mineralize Skin Finish in 'Soft and Gentle' and I have no idea why I didn't buy it sooner. It is a very pretty highlighter which adds that little bit of something to my everyday make-up look.

My March lip colour of choice was Rimmel By Kate 'Red Nose Red' Lipstick which is stunning true red shade. This is a Comic Relief Limited Edition lipstick, so for each one sold £1.67 goes straight to comic relief. Ps I've had a check online and this lipstick is still available to purchase here.

During March I tried a couple of skincare samples from LUSH. I'm never usually brave enough to ask for product samples so I sometimes end up wasting money on products that don't necessarily work for me, however after a little bit of encouragement from the lovely Becky from Geek Gets Glam (who just so happens to work in LUSH) I decided to ask for a sample in store.

I tried LUSH Ultrabland cleanser which leaves my skin feeling soft and squeaky clean. However I think this product would be a good alternative to my pricier Clinique Take The Day Off Cleansing Balm so I'm happy to grin and bear the scent (which I'm not overly keen on). I also tried LUSH Angels On Bare Skin which is a lovely gentle exfoliating cleanser. I intend to pick up the full size versions of both of these products at some point.

I have had Meghan Trainor's album,Title, for a while now and I still absolutely love it. My favourite songs from the album are 'All About The Bass',''No Good For You' and 'Dear Future Husband'.

I recently rediscovered my love for Marc Jacobs Daisy Rollerball fragrance. My parents bought me a set of three Marc Jacobs rollerball fragrances when we visited the US a couple of years ago and they all smell amazing and are perfect for popping into your handbag.

What were your March favourites?
